Jean Staggs

Edith Jean Mills Staggs, 95, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024. 

Born in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Delus and Verna Greene Mills. She was the widow of Calvin Staggs, who passed away in 2011. Jean loved to cook, and she was known for her vegetable soup and lemon pound cake. She was named "Lyman's Top Cook" in 1974. Jean loved her family and they will cherish the many memories with her. She was a member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing. 

In addition to her parents and husband of 63 years, she was predeceased by three brothers. 

Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia Ann Shields; two grandchildren, Haley Eubanks (TJ) and Jacob Shields (Erin); three great grandchildren, Sutton Eubanks, Everly Eubanks, and Charles Shields. 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Motlow Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rainey officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm prior to the service. 

Burial will be private.
