James Thomas Magner, 93, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Pelham Medical Center.
Born in North Bergen, NJ, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Fanning Magner and the widower of Catherine Magner who passed away in 2017. A devout pro-life Catholic, James' faith was a pillar in his life. His interests included building things, airplanes, gardening, and the ocean. James dearly loved all of his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army and an aerospace engineer.
Surviving are two sons, James Magner (Heather) and Steven Magner; two daughters, Sharon Dinkelbach (John) and Michele Dimond (Robert); six grandchildren, Jessica Farrell (Brian), Chris Lewis, Connor Magner (Nataly), Tabbie Magner, Andrew Dimond (Erinn), and Mandy Dimond. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Abigail Farrell, Annabeth Farrell, Amelia Farrell, and Lucyne Magner.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his siblings, Patricia Bradley, Thomas Magner, and Michael Magner.
A funeral mass will be held at 9:00am, Monday, December 1, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tryon, NC, with Father Matthew Buettner officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Landrum, SC.
