James "Larry" Bishop, 79, of Woodruff, formerly of Campobello, passed away on December 20, 2020. He was the son of the late James Enoch and Grace Johnson Bishop and the husband of Ann Hensley Bishop.
He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Spartanburg. Larry was a truck driver and was very proud of the fact that he transported the first car that came off of the assembly line at BMW and all of the employees signed to Detroit, Michigan to be placed in a museum.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Donna Pace (Charles) and Sheila Mintz (Tim); step sons, Allen Genoble (Tracey) and Mark Genoble (Dali); seven grandchildren; a brother, Ted Bishop; three sisters, Sandra Bishop, Judy Wesselingh and Janie McMurray.
A private graveside service will be held at Walnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Michael Hensley.
