Jackie Oxendine

Jackie Southern Oxendine, 82, of Landrum, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her home. 

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Monell Center Southern. Jackie was the widow of Hudell Oxendine, who passed away in 2022. She loved spending time with her family and going to church. Jackie was a member of Bible Baptist Church. 

Surviving are a daughter, Tanoa Taylor (Allen); a sister, Dale Turner (Tex); three grandchildren, Kyle Cooper (Kristy), McKenzie Cooper (Houston), and Zach Taylor. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren,  Gibson Cooper, Karleigh Cooper, Kinsley Ussery, and Kennedy Williams,. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Mackey Southern.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:30pm - 2:30pm prior to the service. 

Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Greer, SC.
