Hazel Rowena Sheehan, 92, of Boiling Springs, SC passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024. Born in Green Creek, NC, she was the daughter of the late Gam and Pearl Whitesides Gosnell and was the wife of Floyd Watts. She was a supervisor at John H. Montgomery Mill and was a lifelong member of Green Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for several years.
Left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband are two daughters, Darlene Sheehan McGee, and Angela Sheehan (Barry) Neal; one son, Randall Dewey Sheehan; three grandchildren, Tammy Thompson (Tommie) Gilliam, Catina Thompson (Chero) Swain, and Justin Neal; eight great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her fur baby Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Dewey Sheehan; one sister, Estelle Gosnell (Olin) Brown; and two brothers, Horace (Edna) Gosnell, and Hoyt (Jean) Gosnell.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm at Green Creek Baptist Church, 534 Coxe Rd, Columbus, NC 28722. A service will follow with Dr. Don McIntyre officiating. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.
