Gerald Carl Pitts

Gerald Carl Pitts, 74, of Inman, passed away April 23, 2022.  He was the son of the late Herman Ray and Leota Marie Parlier Pitts.

Gerald Pitts was a selfless man and forever friend who lived a life full of adventure. He took each day as it came, whether it be spent hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the little things that each day held. Gerald was tenacious and never saw quitting as an option. He was a wonderful educator of life and nature, and instilled a strong work ethic in his children while always giving them unconditional love and support. 

He is survived by daughters, Jackie Pitts and Karla Ussery (Cody); sons, Travis Pitts and Terry Meng (Jami); a brother, Ray Allison: sisters, Elizabeth "Pete" Blackwell and Brenda FInch; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Alex Pitts; sisters, Irene Pettit, May Cooper and Pauline Hatcher.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Petty Funeral Home.   Funeral service will follow at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Ray Allison and Rev. Joe White.  Burial will be in Jacksons Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
