Fred C. Rhymer

Fred Coleman Rhymer, 91, of Landrum passed away October 7, 2023.   He was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 70 years, Mary Jo Rhymer, and his parents Winnie Coleman Rhymer and Edith Brady Rhymer.

Fred proudly served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War where he was in the Tank Infantry.  He retired from Bigelow Sanford.

A very proud father and papa, he is survived by his son Tim Rhymer (Cindy); three grandsons David Rhymer (Angela), Jonathan Rhymer (Caitlyn), and Andrew Rhymer (Lauren); three great grandchildren Jaden, Lucas and Wyatt; and  a sister Ann Lawrence.

He was predeceased by brothers Sam, Jack, Pete and W.C.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church.  Funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm in the church sanctuary conducted by Dr. Tommy Turner.  Burial will be in Landrum Cemetery.
