Frances Page Obituary

Frances Mae Page, 84, of Landrum, SC, went home on Saturday, June the 1st, 2024. Her family and friends celebrate the wonderful life she had here but know that the celebration with those that passed prior is glorious.

Fran was born in Big Springs, Texas on September 09, 1938, to the late Lona and Hood Parker. On July 19, 1958, she married the love of her life Larry Robert Page. Frances supported Larry as he chose a career in the US Army and raised their family. Their adventure presented many opportunities that included an oversea stint in Japan. Fran lived in 34 different places during her lifetime not including their five years of being full time RVers.

Fran is survived by her husband Larry Page of Landrum, SC, her children Robert Page (and Jewell) of Spartanburg, SC, Robin Siegel (and Howard) of Charleston, SC, Rhonda Grigg (and Tim) from Portland, ME. There are seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Preceded in death by her parents, Lona and Hood Parker, two brothers, Junior Parker and James Parker.

Fran had a passion of giving of herself through volunteering. She was a member of the Landrum Methodist Church, The Cottages of Landrum Book Club, and a volunteer at the local hospital St Luke's Memorial.  Over the years, she influenced many through her volunteerism at local museums, church, PGA at Kiawah Island, Military Chapel Youth Program, Officers Wife's Club secretary, taught computer classes at the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.  Fran loved sewing and creating special items for many local children's hospitals, sewing dresses for her daughters, creating pillows for her grandchildren and many other specialties.  We cannot forget her love for flowers and gardening.  She always had a beautiful entryway to each place they called home.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00PM at Petty Funeral Home on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  Funeral Services will be held at Landrum Methodist Church at 11:00AM on Monday, June 10, 2024, conducted by Rev.
