Fay Marie Searcy

Columbus, NC- Fay Marie Searcy, 82, of Columbus, NC, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Elizabeth House.

Born in Harlingen, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Dudley Hall, Sr. and Marvis Eleene Strohmeyer Hall. She was the wife of Bobby Searcy. Fay enjoyed going driving, shopping, going to church, and singing. She also enjoyed going to the Meeting Place and doing all of the activities.

Surviving are her husband, Bobby Searcy; a daughter, Tina Searcy; a step-daughter,  Rhonda Crow; a step-son, Randy Searcy; two sisters, Lulu Walker (Walter) and Inez Jackson (David); a sister in law, Brenda Hall. Also surviving are five step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.

Fay was predeceased by a son, Mark Searcy; two brothers, Wayne Hall and Joseph Dudley Hall, Jr., and a sister in law, Irene Hall

A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, September 26, 2022 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Reid Cooper and Rev. Brian Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm prior to the service.

Burial will be in Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton, NC
