Fannie Collins

Fannie Shehan Collins, 91, of Tryon, NC, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at her home. 

Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Billie and Mattie Earley Shehan. Fannie worked as a CNA at Tryon Estates. She was an active member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Fannie enjoyed flowers and gardening. 

Surviving are four sons, Larry Collins (Shay), Terry Collins (Becky), Jack Collins (Bridgette), and Neal Collins (Angela); a daughter, Jennifer Harris (Chris); a daughter in law, Maggi Collins; twin sister, Annie Jackson, a sister, Dollie Lewis, and a brother, Joe Shehan. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Fannie was predeceased by her husband, Clifford Collins; a son, Wayne Collins, and siblings, Ruth Russell, Jessie Shehan, Bessie Morrow, and Sue Plumley. 

A funeral service will be held at 3:00p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy McCarver officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. prior to the service. 

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
