Elaine B. Fowler, 84, of Campobello, SC, passed away on March 10th, 2026.
Elaine passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, service and devotion to her family and community.
She was born in Spartanburg County to the late Barney and Cleo Blackwell.
Surviving is her son, Stacey Fowler (Melony), and a sister, Patricia Hall (Bert).
She was predeceased by her husband, Donnie Lee Fowler, Sr.; sons, Donnie Lee Fowler, Jr., and Anthony Austin; and a sister, Judy Collins.
Family was at the center of Elaine’s life. While raising three sons, she also helped to support Donnie’s business, Fowler Brothers Garage. She loved being an involved grandparent to 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Elaine worked at Spartan Grain as a secretary and then as a postal carrier until she retired after 20+ years. Because of her work with the post office, she was able to help with the setup of the original Spartanburg County 911, for which she won awards.
Some of Elaine's happiest times were traveling the United States and seeing most of the country on the back of Donnie’s Honda Goldwing. They also traveled the world with NAPA Auto Parts through Fowler Brothers Garage.
At home, Elaine loved to garden and would take in any misfit animal. Two of the most remembered were the rooster, Pot Pie, and Donnie’s favorite dog, Red.
Elaine was also involved in her Sunday School and choir at Bethel Baptist Church and loved spending time volunteering at Steps to Hope Thrift Shop in Landrum.
Elaine will be remembered for her generous heart, dedication to family, willingness to serve others, and adventurous spirit.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00AM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Petty Funeral Home, where a Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00AM conducted by Rev. Joe Seay.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for contributions to be made to the Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mountain Rd, Columbus, NC 28722 or to Bethel Baptist Church, 13040 Highway 11, Campobello, SC 29322.
