Edward Joseph Goettert

Edward Joseph Goettert, 77, of Columbus NC passed away on September 19, 2023.  He was the son of the late Peter Nicholas and Marie Alvina Rodde Goettert.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon Lare Goettert; a son Peter Goettert of Spokane, WA; two daughters Elizabeth Goettert of Austin, TX and Rachel Goettert of Columbus, NC; a sister Rosemarie Mikrut of Westchester, IL; and four grandchildren Lowe Goettert, Sarah Goettert, Alexander Goettert and Nola Staton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 3:00-5:00pm at Petty Funeral Home.  A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am Monday, September 25, 2023 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church conducted by Father Jason Christian.
