Edna Allen Mathis, 88, of Inman passed away on February 2, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Finch Allen and wife of the late Lloyd Gene Mathis.
She worked as the housekeeper at Holston Creek Baptist Church for many years.
She is survived by two daughters Norma Williams of Boiling Springs and Donna Christopher (Bobby) of Inman; three grandchildren Thomas Clary III (Robin), Hanah Hall (Jason) and Hunter Christopher (Stephanie); four great grandchildren Bailey Christopher, Thomas Clary IV, Emma Clary and Wyatt Clary; and a sister Frances Labonte of Clearwater, FL.
She was predeceased by two sisters Barbara Henderson and Glenda Sitton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Petty Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Reggie Parker. Burial will be in Holston Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at her home.
