Dorothy B. Dowda

Dorothy Brannon Dowda, 91, of Landrum went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2025.  She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Brannon and wife of the late Earnest Luther Dowda.

She was a member of Redeemed Baptist Church and retired from District One Schools and SC Elastic.

She is survived by two daughters Marie Horton and Martha Dowda; six grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 18 brothers and sisters and a daughter Mary Elizabeth Dowda.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm Monday, January 27, 2025 at Redeemed Baptist Church.  A funeral service will follow at the church at 3:00pm conducted by Rev. Billy Rice, Rev. Joseph Walker and Rev. Jay Burns.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
