Doris Johnson

Campobello, SC- Doris Burrell Johnson, 82, of Campobello, SC passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Hospice House of Landrum.

Born in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Erskine and Nannie Lou Collins Burrell. She was the widow of Joe Randall Johnson. As an elementary school teacher, Doris taught for more than twenty five years at Lone Oak Elementary. In addition to her love for helping children learn, she also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, cross stitching, reading, baking, and her grandchildren. Doris was a founding member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Randy Johnson and Brian Johnson (Lisa); a daughter, Rhonda Cranford (Anthony); grandchildren, Sarah Catherine and Hannah Cranford, and two sisters, Mary Ruth Morris and Helon Condrey. Also surviving is a sister in law, Linda Medley

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, January 30, 2023 at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Walker and Pastor Michael Owenby officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Petty Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
