Dean Blackwell

Dean Blackwell, 86, of Green Creek, NC passed away on March 12, 2020.  He was the son of the late Hazel Corene Blackwell Bolick and husband of Mary Turner Blackwell.

He was a member of Mill Creek Church of the Brethren and was retired from textiles.

He is survived by his wife Mary Blackwell; two daughters Emily Skipper and Susie Kimbrell; a brother Autry Blackwell; an uncle Everette Blackwell; three grandchildren Stephanie Koenig, Jamie Kimbrell and Lauren Searcy; and four great grandchildren Allison Koenig, Pearl Koenig, Aden Kimbrell and Josiah Sutton.

He was predeceased by a brother Mickey Blackwell.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Monday, March 16, 2020 at Mill Creek Church of the Brethren.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00 at the church conducted by Rev. Noel Naff and Rev. Stephen Abe.
