David Bryant Obituary

David Albert Bryant of Landrum passed peacefully away on April 29, 2023. Born in Springfield,
Missouri to the late Sydney and Lydia Bryant, Dave spent most of his youth in the Himalayan
Mountains outside Lucknow, India. He enjoyed cycling, playing sports, and the outdoors.

At the age of eighteen, Dave came to the United States to study electrical engineering at the
University of Missouri-Rolla. Upon graduation, he worked for AT&T where he installed
telephone wiring in the World Trade Center. He transitioned to numerous government projects
over the next 30 years including the Trident and Seawolf submarine training programs.

Dave loved to travel. He participated in more than 15 mission trips, including two to Cuba. He
was a person who helped anyone, often opening his home to those in need. Dave tagged
monarch butterflies for over ten years and supported numerous charities both locally and
abroad.

His memory will be cherished by his wife Beth Pace Bryant and her family Ben Pace (Erin),
grandson Oliver, and Matt Pace (Riley). Special thanks for love and support to Mary, Becky, and
Lilly. Dave’s siblings include Audrey Treadway, Les Bryant (Saundra), Esther Partin (Samuel),
Evelyn Pitts (Dan); and many special nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his brother
Dr. Sydney Bryant.
