Darrell R. Hinson, 78, of Boiling Springs passed away on January 21, 2024. He was the son of the late Milford Reid and Pearl Jordan Hinson and husband of Linda Jones Hinson.
As a devoted husband, loving father, inspiring mentor, and cherished friend, Darrell's impact reached far beyond borders. His influence extended not only across the United States but also left an indelible mark in Nicaragua that will continue on. Through his unwavering dedication, he touched the lives of thousands, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness.
Darrell was a Real Estate Developer and was co-founder of the Pearl Foundation. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and an assistant Boy Scout Leader and had served on the Humane Society board. He was a former president of the SC Association of Realtors, served as a Guardian ad Litem and was awarded the Order of the Palmetto. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hinson; children Gregory Hinson (Candy), Gretchin McGuinn (Randy), Benjamin Hinson (Katie), Dustin Hinson, Erik Bradley (Crystal), Lindsay Driggers (David), Addys Gonzalez (Felix) and Maricela Gonzalez (Jeffrey); two sisters Patricia Johnston (Glenn) and Pamela Morris (Richard); thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:45am Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Church at The Mill, 4455 Anderson Mill Rd, Moore, SC 29369. A memorial service will follow in the main sanctuary at 12:00pm conducted by Dr. D.J. Horton and Rev. Jason Williamson. The family will remain in the sanctuary following the service to speak to friends and family.
