Obituary
Cle-Ellen "Cleo" Mehaffey Hooper, 81, of Landrum, passed away on March 2, 2023. She is the wife of Robert Hoyt Hooper, Sr. and the daughter of the late Willie Ervin and Josephine Marie Moore Mehaffey.
She owned and operated Cleo's Beauty Salon in Spartanburg, SC. Her favorite hobbies included collecting Victorian furniture and crocheting. She won numerous Blue Ribbons and awards for her crocheting and loved to give them away as gifts. Cleo loved her family, especially her grandkids and her dog, Lily. Even though she had her own business, she truly enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
In addition to her husband Robert, she is survived by her sons, Robert "Robbie" Hooper, Jr. and Jeffrey Hooper (Teresa); grandchildren, Martha and Travis Hooper; a brother, Willie "Bill" Mehaffey, Jr. and a sister, Mildred Rathbone.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Sue Hoglan and Joyce Ann Swanger.
