Charlotte Elizabeth Edwards passed away on August 16, 2023. She was an early Valentine’s Day gift, born on February 10, 1976, to Kay Cash and David Edwards in Spartanburg, SC. After graduating from Chapman High School in 1994, she studied at the University of South Carolina, earning a bachelor’s degree in 1998 with a double major in Business Management and Marketing. She enjoyed a career in sales and customer service management.
In childhood, Charlotte possessed a tender heart for others and had a desire to right the injustices of the world and help people. This tender heart carried over into adulthood as a great love for animals, especially her own pets. The smallest creature that crossed her path was warmly welcomed and cared for. Throughout her life, Charlotte possessed an expansive mind, creative flair, and a unique sense of style that made her unforgettable. She was a foodie who enjoyed cooking and delighting in new culinary experiences.
Insightful, intelligent, and wry-witted, Charlotte was a force of nature who is deeply missed by her loved ones.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ron Cash. In addition to her parents, Charlotte is survived by her stepmother Cathy Edwards, brother John Edwards; sister Jill Edwards (Rich); twin sister Heather Edwards Ponce (Kim). “Aunt Chuck” is also survived by nephews David Neil, Beck, and Kayden; and her longtime partner, Olin Cobb.
A private ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in remembrance of Charlotte to FAVOR Upstate, or Spartanburg Humane Society.
