Carey Carson, Jr.

William Carey Carson, Jr., 78, of New Prospect, SC passed away on February 9, 2025.

He was born on February 20, 1946 to William Carey Carson, Sr. and Lois Horton Carson.  He worked at Hoechst Celanese for 26 years and was a farmer.

He is survived by his wife Margo Dotson Carson; daughter Carmen Carson Foy and husband Shane; step son Jonathon Edwards and wife Jamie; grandchildren Colby Carson, Mason Foy, Drew Carson (Zach Herrmann) and Cam Carson (Taylor); step grandchildren Gavin, Hudson and Hadley Edwards; Great grandchildren Kylan Herrmann and Kash Carson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son William Kelly Carson; grandsons Kreed and Kamp Carson and loyal canine companion Bandit.

A service will be held at Petty Funeral Home, Landrum at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 conducted by Rev. Travis Blackwell.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm prior to the service.
