Billy Joe McClure

Beloved husband, father and grandpa, Billy Joe McClure, 86 of Landrum went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 1, 2021.  He was the son of the late James A. and Hattie Pruitt McClure.  Billy was predeceased by his best friend and love of his life, Zella P. McClure to whom he was married for 53 years; brothers Paul McClure, James McClure, J.C. McClure, Andrew McClure, and Carroll McClure; sisters Grace Barnett and Clara Mae Perry.

He is survived by his loving  daughters Debra Souther (Ron) of Campobello and Darla Gosnell (Mike) of Landrum, his beloved grandsons Justin Souther (Jamie) of Campobello and Brett Gosnell (Allison) of Atlanta, brother Ray McClure and sister Mary Green.

Billy was a humble man who worked hard all his life to take care of the family he loved with all his heart.  He will never be forgotten and always loved.

The family would like to thank Agape Hospice for the loving attention they gave our Daddy and Pa the last few weeks of his journey on earth, especially our nurse Sharon and caregiver Shannon Jolley.

Immediate family will have a private graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape Care, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC  29307.
