Betty Jean Prince, age 78, of Landrum, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on January 15, 2026. She was born on May 1, 1947, and was a woman of faith whose life reflected love, perseverance, and devotion to family.
Betty, a retired Bayada Home Health CNA, was a longtime resident of Landrum and made her home on Hotel Hill Drive. She lived her life grounded in faith, trusting in God's promises, and finding strength through prayer. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. Betty found her greatest joy in her family, whom she loved deeply and faithfully.
Betty was the daughter of the late Ray Eugene & Elizabeth Eplee Prince, also of Landrum. She is survived by her beloved sister, Shirley Crocker; her sons, William Prince and James Prince; her daughter-in-law, Jai Prince; and her treasured grandchildren, Kennedy Prince, Nicholas Prince, and Victoria Prince. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother whose legacy of faith, love, and resilience will continue through generations.
The family takes comfort in knowing that Betty is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Petty Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
