Betty Stewart Jones

Betty Stewart Jones, 94, of Landrum passed away on December 13, 2023.  She was born April 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Maggie and Truman Stewart.  She was the wife of the late Lewis Jones.

Betty was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Landrum and really enjoyed her Sunday School Class.

She lived in Landrum all her life.  She played basketball at Landrum High School. She loved to serve her family.  She would bring everyone together every Sunday after Church for a home cooked meal.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Kay Loftis (Cotton) and Kristy Gillie (Chris); three grandchildren Megan Davidson (Drew), Christian Gillie (Sydney) and Carson Gillie; and two great grandchildren Ava and Luke Davidson.

She was predeceased by a daughter Joyce Jones West; and brothers and sisters Ruth S. Wolfe, Hazel S. Brown, Raymond Stewart, Boyd Stewart and TC Stewart.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Landrum from 1:00-2:00pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the church conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop.

Memorials may be made in Betty's memory to First Baptist Church of Landrum Building Fund, 300 E. Rutherford St., Landrum, SC  29356.
