Arnold Dean Gee

Arnold Dean Gee, 88, of Columbus, NC, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Upstate Community Hospice House, Landrum, SC.

Born in Rutherford County, NC, he was the son of the late Edgar Henry and Minnie Funderburke Gee.  He was the widower of Evelyn Edwards Gee.  Arnold enjoyed playing golf, farming, riding horses, and hunting; especially dove and quail.  He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Barry Gee (Kay); two daughters Carla Gaskins (Jan) and Terri Ford (Ronnie); grandchildren Christopher Packer and Tammy Jackson (Jerry).  Also surviving are eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Arnold was predeceased by four brothers, Wallace, Esley, Howard and Dub Gee; and a granddaughter Victoria Gee.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm, Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy McCarver officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm prior to the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors by the Polk County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.
