Annie Elizabeth Blackwell

Campobello, SC- Annie Elizabeth Blackwell, 84, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home.

Born in Boone, NC, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Leota Parlier Pitts. Annie enjoyed baseball, fishing, gardening, and singing. She was like a mother to everyone that knew her. She was a member of Redland Road Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Marvin Dean Blackwell; a daughter, Sandra Ann Blackwell McSwain; two son in laws, Charles Helton and Lawrence McSwain. She is also predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry Blackwell (Doris) and Marvin Blackwell (Linda); a daughter, Debra Helton; a brother, Ray Allison (Jeanette); a sister, Brenda Finch; six grandchildren, Deanna Blackwell, Zachary Blackwell, Amanda Hopper (Mark), Chanda Atkins (Amy), Angela McSwain (Wayne), and Joshua Ridings; seven great grandchildren, Hudson Hopper, Anna Storey (Alex), Abigail Key (Taylor), Andrew Key, Ambrey Key, Alyssa Doricchi, and Matthew Atkins; 5 great-great grandchildren, Xander Storey, Easton Storey, Aaron Storey, Grace Storey, and Dawson Key.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Petty Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Turner and Rev. John Parker officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm – 3:00pm prior to the service.

Burial will be at Jackson Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
