Amelia Hoots

Mary Amelia Hoots, 75, of Campobello, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. 

Born in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Norris Welborn and Mary Thelma McCarter Wilson. Amelia loved her family dearly. She also loved animals, crossword puzzles, and coffee. Amelia retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. 

Surviving are three children, William Reis, Eric Huggins, and Allison Reis; a brother, Ronald Wilson (Cathy); two sisters, Rebecca Bridges (Terry) and Janice McClure (Eddy). Also surviving are her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as special nieces,  great nephews, and great nieces. 

She was predeceased by a son, Paul Reis, and a step father, Boyd Vickers, Jr.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
