Shirley Rogers Burress, age 83, loving wife of Lynn Burress for 64 years of Landrum, SC died December 22, 2018 after a brief illness.   Born  August 10, 1935 in High Point, NC she was the daughter of Bill and Ruth Rogers. She is survived by two children son Keith (Gina) of Inman, SC; daughter Kim of Asheville, NC; granddaughters Becca B. Bridges (Daniel) and Maggie Burress; a sister, Mary Jones (Arnold) of Greensboro, NC, and their children, Greg, Andrea and preceded by nephew, Kenny.

Shirley worked for Spartanburg County District One Schools for 24 years, retiring in 1999.  In later years she helped her husband and son in their small engine sales and service shop. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Landrum First Baptist Church 300 E. Rutherford St. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
