Russell Curtis Barnett, 39, of Landrum passed away on April 24, 2019. He was the son of Charles Raymond Barnett and Brenda Juanita Walker and husband of Amanda Barnett.
He was a member of First Baptist Church Landrum and worked for Cooper Standard Automotive as an Engineer Technician. Rusty truly knew how to love and loved his wife, kids and family like no other could. He took pride in everything and did everything to the best of his ability. He was a hard worker. Rusty was a very sweet man and always about having fun and making people laugh. He had a great sense of humor and made a positive impact and was an outstanding role model to everyone.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by two sons, Seth Russell Barnett and Sawyer Raymond Barnett; a brother, Charles "Phillip" Barnett; a sister, Greta Bivens; a step mother, Barbara Barnett; a step father, Roy Carruth; three step sisters, Barrie Glasscock, Terri Honeycutt, Audrie Lewis; two brothers in law, Daniel and Sam Cox; a sister in law Molly Marshall; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Sherry Ballew; father-in-law, Steve Cox and numerous nieces and nephews and "Mama" Donna Pace.
He was predeceased by a step mother, Lillie Barnett.
The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00am Saturday, April 27, 2019 at First Baptist Church Landrum. Services will follow at 11:00am conducted by Rev. Doug Ballew and Rev. Mark Bishop.
