Rickie McFalls

Rickie Blaine McFalls, 63, of Tryon, N.C., died Friday, December 27, 2019 in his home.

Born in Polk County, N.C., he was the son of Carrie Mae Waddell McFalls and the late Willie B. McFalls. Rickie was a Lieutenant in the Columbus Fire Department. He also served on the Columbus Fire Department Tax Board and the Polk County E & R Board. Rickie was a deacon of Victory Baptist Church, Campobello, S.C. He enjoyed fishing and was also an auctioneer. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

Surviving are his wife, Renee McCoy McFalls; his mother, Carrie Mae Waddell McFalls; a son, Rickie Blaine McFalls, II (Cathy); a daughter, Wendy Shackelford (Chris); two sisters, Lisa Brown (Willie Ormand) and Lori Waldrop (Jeff); a sister-in-law Julia McFalls.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Madison Yellen, Cayden McFalls, and Addison McFalls.

He was predeceased by a brother Donald McFalls.  

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2020, in the Petty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Howard officiating. Firefighter funeral honors will be performed by Columbus Fire Department.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Petty Funeral Home.
