Nancy Benson Obituary

Nancy Jane Rauner Benson, 75, passed away in the arms of her children Thursday, July 11, 2019. She was a strong woman with a kind heart who loved her family. Born in New Jersey, Nancy and her family moved to Columbus, NC in 1979.

Nancy was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy White Rauner.

She was predeceased by a daughter Kathy Dixon and is survived by two daughters Joanne (Pete) Clifton and Melinda (Danny) Day and a son Joey (Lynne) Benson
.
She is also survived by four sisters, Shirley Watson, Gloria (Calvin) Watson, Sue (Carl) Zorn, Sandy (Nick) Acevedo; seven grandchildren, Richard Elkin, Brandi Day, Amanda Dixon, Billy Benson, Danielle Day, Sam Clifton, Nichole Clifton and a great grandchild, Sparr Elkin.

She was also predeceased by four sisters, Irene (Herman) Williams, Bonnie Bonualas, Dolly and Peggy Rauner; two brothers, Joe (Wilda) Rauner and George Rauner, Jr.

Nancy will be missed so much.
