Marvin "Kim" Maynard

Marvin Kim Maynard, 71, of  Spartanburg passed away on June 9, 2018.  He was the son of the late Marvin and Charlotte Maynard.

Kim was a retired chemist from Procter & Gamble in Greensboro, NC;  he attended Clemson University and graduated from the University of South Carolina.  He was a 3rd degree black belt and an avid surfer.  His love of the beach and dancing starting in the sixties lead him to be accepted in the SC Shag Hall of Fame.  He served his country in the US Navy.

He is survived by his longtime friend, Lynn Ezzell;  two daughters, Tracie and Martie; a sister, Janine and two grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Lakewood Senior Living for their wonderful care of Mr. Maynard.

A celebration of Life will be held at Danz Beach Club in Spartanburg SC on June 29, 2018 beginning at 6:00pm.
