Margaret Jett Lockner

Margaret Jett Lockner, 87, of Hickory, NC passed away on January 24, 2018.  She was born in Landrum, SC and was the daughter of the late Archie Lockhart and Edna Reid Jones and widow of Thomas Jett and Elmer Lockner.

She was a loving mother who loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren and her pets.  She was retired from Pet Dairy/Land-O-Sun as a Lab Technician.

She is survived by a son, Gary Laxton; three daughters Janice Miller, Ann Clark and Linda Rummage: four grandchildren Shannon Little, Angela Isenhour, Travis Miller and Bradley Laxton; seven great grandchildren Luke Miller, Lea Miller, Zane Isenhour, Paula Laxton, Laban Miller, Eric Laxton and Abby Isenhour.  She was predeceased by a daughter Carolyn Laxton; a son Terry Laxton; a brother, Thomas Lockhart and a grandson Clint Miller.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Dewey Barnwell.  Burial will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
