Margaret Flynn Obituary

Margaret Lyles Flynn, 97, widow of Lewis W. Flynn, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Greer Health and Rehab.

Born in Gaffney she was the daughter of the late John Edgar Lyles and the late Lester Henderson.

She was a homemaker and a member of Pacolet Hills Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey D. Flynn (Janet); three daughters, Wilma Swygert, Linda Jeanes (James) and Marion Davis (Clarence); seven grandchildren, Randy Lee Flynn, Amanda Whiteside, Rhetta Carson, Donna Janney Nodine, Jason Swygert, Lori Russell and Regina Foxx; numerous great-grandchildren and a very special friend, Meghan Griffin.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, William Lyle Flynn; a granddaughter, Rita Ann Davis and a great-grandaughter, Melissa Dawn Hinkle.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14 from 2 to 3 PM at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3PM in the Chapel of Petty Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Julie Rosemond and Wanda Norris for the love and care they gave to Margaret.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 419 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC  29302.
