Lillian Louise Rodgers, 92, passed away on May 16, 2018 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Enoch and Bessie Tucker. She was first married to the late Buford Smith and then to the late Dexter Rodgers.
Lillian was a member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church where she loved the time spent with her Sunday School class and the Joy Club. She volunteered for many years with the Mobile Meals program and cherished the friends she made along the way. During her life her love of travel took her to all fifty states as well as Europe, and the Middle East. She was a skilled ceramic artist and also played high school basketball.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandy Farrell (Mike); sons, Tony Rodgers (Dolly) and Ben Rodgers (Teresa); grandchildren Kristin (John), Chase (Missi), Matt (Allison), Jon and Stephen; great-grandchildren Macey, Alivia, and Avery.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a son, Edward B. Smith.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 12 noon in the Chapel of Petty Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Lindsey officiating. The family will receive friends at 11:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Sandy Plains ARP Church Cemetery.
Her sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
