Larry "Gene" Eugene Searcy

Larry “Gene” Eugene Searcy, of Inman, passed away at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills on Sunday, November 18, 2018.  He was the son of the late Buford and Luraney Couch Searcy.

He was a member of Bible Baptist Church, a retired truck driver with Mascot Homes and a member of the Masonic Lodge Inman #201 AFM.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hamby Searcy; a daughter, Shannon Searcy Silver (Taylor); a son Rickey Eugene Searcy; grandchildren Josh and Rikki Searcy; great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Carter; a brother, Bobby Searcy and a sister, Blanche Scates.

He was predeceased by a sister, Arvenia Price.

The family will receive friends from 1-2P on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church in Landrum where the funeral service will follow at 2 PM conducted by Dr. Tommy Turner.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
