John David Coggins

John David Coggins, 66, of Mill Spring passed away on June 21, 2017.  He was the son of the late James Denton and Ida McCurry Coggins and husband of Sheila Gibson Coggins.

He worked at Lake Lure Waterworks.  He served in the US Army.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two step daughters, Charity Miles and Penny Weaver; a brother, William Coggins; and 5 step grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Eric Lee Coggins; a brother Harry Coggins and a sister, Betty Ann Gray.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home.
