Horace Dean Pruitt

Horace Dean Pruitt, 82, died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills. He was the son of the late Horace Cleveland Pruitt and the late Ella Mae Clayton. He was the husband of Marie Spivey Pruitt.

Born in Spartanburg, he worked for many years as a manufacturing technician, and also as a farmer. He was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church for 57 years where he served in numerous capacities including as a deacon.

In addition to his wife of 60 years he is survived by a son, James Dean Pruitt (Julie); a daughter, Linda Kaye Kelly; grandchildren, Jada Shin (Phillip), Jesslin Mackenzie Kelly, Haley Pulliam,  Cody Pulliam, and Ada Morrison; a great - granddaughter, Caleigh Pulliam; as well as a sister, Margie Johnson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

A graveside service will be held 11:00am Monday, October 22, 2018 in the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens with Rev. Shane Ezell officiating.
