Fred Culbreth

Elbert Fred Culbreth, 93, of  Landrum passed away on January 3, 2018.  He was the son of the late Cursey and Bessie Gibbs Culbreth and husband of the late Bonnie Morris Culbreth.

He was a member of Landrum First Baptist Church and served in the US Navy during WWII.  He retired from Carruth Furniture.

He is survived by two sons, Danny Culbreth (Patricia) of Campobello and Ronnie Culbreth (Jane) of Landrum; three brothers, Edward Culbreth of Tryon, Harold Culbreth of Landrum and Leonard Culbreth of Landrum; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was predeceased by a son, Garrison Culbreth; three brothers, Hubert, Bobby and Allen Culbreth; and two sisters, Louise Page and Elizabeth Denton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, January 5, 2018 at Landrum First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mark Bishop.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
