Eugene Albert McSwain

Eugene Albert McSwain, 86, of Columbus passed away on November 19, 2018.  He was son of the late Albert and Connie Hutcherson McSwain and husband of Josephine Stott McSwain.

He was retired from Wilson Equipment Company.  Eugene was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.  He loved his tractors and enjoyed working on tractors for all his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Stott McSwain; his children, Debra Denton, Craig McSwain, Penny Burrell, Jerry McSwain, Neal McSwain and Karen Raines; two sisters, Marlene Fisher and Shelva Finucan; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Brent Frady, Rev. John Edwards and Rev. Gary Lockee.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
