Dorothy "Dot" Flynn Solesbee, 83, of Landrum, passed away October 15, 2013. She was daughter of the late Grady Flynn, Sr. and Alice Cantrell Flynn and wife of Gettis Solesbee.
She was a member of Landrum United Methodist Church and was a Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital for 38 years. She was also a volunteer at St. Luke's for many years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mary Greene (Howard) of Tryon, Sara Calvert of Georgia; and sister in law Betty Flynn of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by a sister, Frances Prince and a brother, Grady Flynn, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30pm Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Kevin Dalton and Rev. Chuck Mullinax.
Memorials may be made to Landrum United Methodist Church, 227 N. Howard Ave., Landrum, SC 29356 or to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC 28722.
The family is at the home if Irene Settle, 101 Prince Road, Landrum, SC.
