Doris "Dot" Clayton

Doris "Dot" Alverson Clayton, 82, of Inman passed away on February 19, 2017.  She was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Belue Alverson and wife of Harley Clayton.

She was a member of Lake Cooley Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Harley Clayton; two daughters, Rhonda Williams (Morris) and Kim Spakes (Mike); three sisters, Thelma Atkins, Iris Justice and Mildred Phillips; three grandchildren, Justin Williams (Stephanie), Shane Williams (Mandy) and Clayton Spakes (Amanda); four great grandchildren, Harleigh Belle and Reagan Williams, Asher Matthews and Penelope Williams.

She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters Furman, Broadus, James, Paul and George Alverson; Helen Foster, Nannie Lou Williams and Ruth Alverson.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00pm Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Lake Cooley Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the church conducted by Rev. Mark Cannon.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home.
