David Stephen Pruitt, 68 died Thursday, November 29 at Autumn Care of Saluda. Born in Hendersonville he was the son of the late John C. Pruitt and Girteal Leona McCarson.
David was an amazing person and an incredible salesman. He was once the #1 Salesman for Grit Newspapers in the country, and was flown to Pennsylvania in recognition of this accomplishment. He also traveled all over this country riding a Trailways bus.
He is survived by three brothers, Michael Pruitt (Shelia), Michael Henderson (Elaine), and John Pruitt (Rita); a sister, Margaret Wyatt (Walter).
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by four brothers, Ted, Tommy, Cliff and Franklin and a sister, Barbara King.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, December 2, 2018 in the Petty Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Camp and Rev. Tim Wofford officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 PM at the funeral home.
