Birger Krohn Boggild passed away February 6, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Betty of Campobello, a son, Jens and his wife Susanna; a granddaughter, Thea of Denmark; a daughter, Lise Wiley and her husband, Steve; grandchildren, Valerie, Sierra and her husband Jon, Erik of Campobello; a sister, Aase and her husband Jorgen of Denmark.
Birger served as an Elder at Landrum Presbyterian Church where he supervised the construction of the Bell Tower for Mildred Petty as a memorial for her son, Robert after his death. He retired from Beretta USA where he served as Director of Research and Development. He was successful in obtaining the contract for the Army for the Selection of the Beretta as their service weapon.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00pm Friday, February 9, 2018 at Petty Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11:00am Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Zion Baptist Church in Hot Springs, NC .
