Bernice Muriel (Barnwell) Green

Bernice B. Green, 91, of New Prospect, went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2017 at her home.  Born November 12, 1925 in Spartanburg , SC.  She was the daughter of the late Burton and Myrtle Burns Barnwell. 
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, George D. Green in 2012.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Ralph Barnwell, a grandson, Brian Green; a granddaughter, Shelly Graves.

She attended Bible Baptist Church of Landrum, SC for many years. Bernice was known for her love of gardening, flowers and flower arrangements.

Survivors include four sons, Glenn (Betty Lou) Green of Inman, Les (Jean) Green of Inman, Jerry (Amy) Green of Campobello, Rick Green of Campobello; three daughters, Jean Green of Inman, Martha (Larry) Phillips of Campobello, Joyce (Jesse) Dill of Boiling Springs; a brother, Paul Barnwell of Inman.  Granny Green was blessed with 21 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:30pm Friday, August 18, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home in Landrum, SC.  Funeral Services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 19, 2017 Bible Baptist Churchconducted by Dr. Tommy Turner.  Burial will follow at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church of Campobello.

Pallbearers are: Kenneth Phillips, Kelvin Phillips, Scott Moss, Todd Dill, Rocky Green and Dylan Green.

The family will be at the home.
