Alvin Wade Greene

Alvin Wade Greene, 86 of Landrum passed away November 4, 2017 at his home.
A native of Spartanburg county he was son of the late Carrie Wade and Albert Leonard Greene and  was husband of Kay Smith Greene. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Prosperity where he was a former deacon  he was a Marine and served in Korea where he  received a purple heart and Korean Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal he was a Mason and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include in addition to his wife one son Eddie Greene (Jessica), three daughters, Karen Tolleson, Phylliss Blair and Wanda Levister (Tony), nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and special friends Steve and Tina West. He was pre deceased by a grandson Matthew Bailey.

Graveside services with military rights will be held at 3:00 pm Monday November 6, 2017 at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. John Smith. The family will receive friends following the service.
