Charles Fears, 71, of 113 Pace St. died June 22, 2012. He was son of the late Clifford and Alice Fears and husband of the late Shirley Ann Brock Fears.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a self employed landscaper.
He is survived by a son, Billy Scott Fears of Campobello; a daughter, Angela Fears of Saluda; a sister Nancy Sands of Drakes Branch, VA; and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Charles C. Fears.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Wendesday, June 27, 2012 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Henry Vegter and Rev. Tommy Turner. Burial will be in Saluda City Cemetery.
The family is at the home.

Sorry to hear about your father. I feal bad that I won't be there. I'm in Iowa and can't make it. I will really miss having breakfast with him.

Charlie and his blue tractor will be missed in Saluda. He was willing to help with the driveway and other needs when asked. My thoughts are with the family.
