Stanley Williams, 88, of Inman died May 17, 2012.  He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Williams of 65 years.  He was an adopted son to a very loving family - Katie West Morrow and Jim Morrow.  He was a member of First Baptist Church North Spartanburg and received a Purple Heart serving in the US Army during WWII.

He is survived by a son, Douglas Williams ( Donna) of Mooresville, NC; a daughter, Brenda West (Michael) of Gramling; sister in law, Kathryn Harrill of Charlotte; sister in law, Audrey Skinner of Gowensville; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by three brothers, John, Alfred, and Barney and two sisters, Ruth and Prudice.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Dr. Alastair Walker with military honors.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
