William George Logue, Jr., 93, passed away at the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, Landrum, SC on February 8, 2018. Mr. Logue was a member of the Greatest Generation, having served his country in WW II as a bombardier, and later, as a POW in Germany. He held many positions of importance in his community of Panama City, Florida, but none more important than that of being a good son, a patriot of his country, a good husband, and a good father.
He will be remembered for his love of his wife of 59 years, Alice G. Logue, his son, Wm. George Logue, III (Angela Burger) , and his daughter, Marianne Logue Williams. Mr. Logue was predeceased by one son, Fred Godwin Logue, his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Wm. George Logue, Sr., and his brother, Dayton Logue.
He is survived by his immediate family including Linda Logue James (Ed), his grandsons, Ben Williams of Bozeman, MT, Nathaniel Williams of Brooklyn, NY, and his granddaugher, Miranda Logue, of Tallahassee, FL. Mr. Logue also leaves behind his beloved bridge partners, Mrs. Mary Davenport, Mrs. Evelyn Overman, and his life-long friend, Dr. Kathleen Kirscher .
His family wishes to thank the CNAs, nurses, and doctors of the Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for their love and kindness shown during the final days of Mr. Logue's life.
As per his wishes, Mr. Logue's memorial service will be private.
