Vernon Ballenger, Jr.

Edgar Vernon Ballenger, Jr.  89, of Inman passed away on July 31, 2017. He was the son of the late Edgar Vernon Ballenger, Sr. and Annie Mae Blalock Ballenger and husband of the late Earline Pruitt Ballenger.

He was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, worked for Clyde Correll as an Auto Mechanic and was in the US Army during the Korean conflict.

He is survived by a daughter, Gloria Ballenger and her fiance' Donald Price of Inman and a granddaughter, Chelsea Victoria Ballenger.

In addition to his wife he was predeceased by two brothers, Fred Foster and Alfred Hugh Ballenger.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am Friday, August 4, 2017 at Inman First Baptist Church.    Services will follow at 11:00am at the church conducted by Dr. Paul G. Moore, Rev. Jeremiah Childers and Rev. Scott Lewellen.  Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
